Yamaha FG-400D
A beautiful vintage acoustic from Yamaha. I’ve been beating the drum about old Yamaha FG’s forever, and no matter how many we get in our hands they always deliver. The frequency range of this guitar is large, plenty of bass with a punchy midrange and crisp tops. Very dynamic (as all good acoustics are) it has some serious volume if you hit it with a hard pick!
The 400D is slightly different to the other FG’s as it sports a solid top, decorative abalone binding and gold hardware! A proper high end acoustic guitar!

Our old 400D has had a life and it shows. There’s a couple of dings and dents here and there, it’s taken a big drop at one point and has a split at the bottom (it’s not getting any bigger). Life in the high Humidity of Japan has caused the finish to cloud in areas (common place on these thinner finished guitars). It’s still singing like a bird though and plays lovely too! Freshly set up with D’Addario 12’s and ready to go!
