 The Studiomaster Vocal Management System is designed as an easy-to-use live microphone processor, featuring a preamp, seven-band graphic equalizer, six mono DSP effects, an optical compressor, and an automatic noise gate.

The mic preamp accepts both XLR and jack inputs via ‘combi’ connectors on the front and rear panels. A high-pass filter and 48V phantom power are activated by recessed buttons on the rear panel. The gain control is a six-position switch labeled Voice, with lower gain for a ‘softer’ voice. The seven-band graphic equalizer includes illuminated fader shafts for easy setting adjustments in low-light conditions. Outputs include balanced XLR and jack sockets at mic or line level, a headphone socket, a mixer channel-style insert send/return, and a ‘direct’ output that duplicates the main output pre-insert.
