This awesome Active PJ Bass was built in 2010 by Overwater Basses, under a 5 year licencing agreement with Tanglewood Guitars. Featuring a Poplar body, Maple neck, Maple fingerboard and Active EMG X Pickups this one has a really sweet aesthetic and an even sweeter tone.
As a PJ Bass its very versatile with the best of both worlds from P Type and J Type Pickup Configurations, allowing this bass to go from Slap to Blues to Jazz to Metal to anything you wish while still sounding great.
Originally this bass was J Type with no pick-guard, the previous owner upgraded to an EMG PJX set and added the pick-guard.

X series pickups also come with an Active Tone Control (VLPF) designed to roll-off (attenuate) high frequencies, similar to a typical passive tone control. The result is a noiseless single coil guitar pickup with a classic EMG sound that bridges the gap between active and passive.”
