Greco FV-900

A real gem. We are proud to offer this stunning V from Greco for sale. Hand built by the skilled Luthiers of the FujiGen factory in March 1978, this old V has an incredible vintage vibe to it. An awesome replica of the original Flying V introduced by Gibson in 1958, complete with neck stinger and chevron tailpiece!

Our old FV has had some modifications over it’s 45 year life, the most obvious is the addition of the poker chip input added to the lower horn (the original owner really wanted that ’58 look). I’m happy to say that this was done professionally and the hole has been drilled cleanly. The strachplate and poker chip were then painted white, we managed to remove the paint but it has dulled the plastics to a matte finish. The scratchplate is original to the guitar.

Everything bar the tuners is original to the guitar, it’s never had a replacement pot or pickup. There’s the odd ding here and there (pictured), oxidisation to the metal parts and evidence of moved strap buttons. The frets have been freshly levelled and crowned by ourselves and it’s been freshly set up with D’addario 10’s ready for another 45 years of rocking!

The Guitarzilla Promise

All of our guitars benefit from a full in-house set-up which includes neck relief adjustment, nut adjustment, action adjustment, fingerboard oil, fret polish, intonation adjustment, electrical components cleaned/replaced and a good clean! Finally we fit a fresh set of D’Addario strings, so you’re ready to go straight out of the box!

If you have any specific set up requirements please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will happily accommodate you!
