Gibson ’61 SG Special
A stunning SG from the Gibson Custom Shop. We love a P-90 on a Gibson and this ’61 Reissue SG is precisely the reason why! A barky and aggressive little solid body with vintage specs and charm for days!
A beautifully playable guitar with a superb SG neck and gorgeous Faded Heritage Cherry finish. Tonally this is a versatile little guitar – it will do a lovely Pete Townshend impression but if you wind it back and play with the tone control you can get some lovely clean tones out of these soapbars.

Our old Special is in great shape! It’s been used but not abused in its life and has some age related marks here and there, these VOS finishes are very thin and some scratches and small dings to the clear coat is to be expected. The pickup covers have the usual craters starting to form and there’s oxidisation to the metal parts. We’ve levelled and recrowned the frets and installed a fresh Tusq nut so it’s good to go right out of the box!
