Heavy versatility
One thing the Electro Harmonix Nano Metal Muff is not short on is gain. EHX have equipped the new Metal Muff with precise controls so you can perfectly adjust your tone, regardless of how far you push the gain. The Bass control gives you +/- 14dB of cut or boost to tailor your bottom end and make it as fat or thin as you like. Similarly, the Mid knob delivers +/- 15dB so you can get the classic scooped metal sound or something much thicker and more prominent. Finally, the Treble control is capable of +/- 10dB allowing you to add as much high-end sparkle as is required.
Noise gate
The biggest addition to the Nano Metal Muff is the built-in noise gate allowing you to easily silence unwanted noise. Simply use the Gate control to set the threshold and this intelligent feature does the rest, automatically blocking any sound below that level. This noise gate even comes with its own dedicated LED so you can quickly see if it’s working. Unwanted noise is often an issue for heavier players with high-gain; this smart feature massively adds to the functionality and keeps your thick, gritty tones pure, unaffected by any annoying squeals that would interfere without a noise gate.
