1969/1972 Fender American Telecaster – Natural

Stunning vintage USA telecaster with a beautifully figured body. Some modifications on this one making it a very affordable option for a guitar of this age.

Despite the serial number on the backplate reading as a 1968 model, the body has been identified as 1969 due to the lack of route between the bridge and neck pickup. This has been stripped and refinished in natural at some stage of its long life. It was also routed for a neck humbucker at some point but is now back to traditional 2x single coil configuration. We suspect the pickguard is not original.

The neck is from 1972 – and stamped accordingly. It has a medium profile and has a lovely vintage worn-in feel that is super comfortable. It has a Rosewood fingerboard and the F-stamp tuners.

The electrics aren’t original and whilst the neck pickup is definitely Fender, we haven’t been able to identify the bridge pickup. The guitar sounds great though with classic telecaster tone.

It has some minor wear and blemishes as you’d expect given age, and the frets are in great shape. It’s sold with a vintage Fender-style leather bound case to keep this investment guitar protected.
