With the ESP LTD Viper-1000 BaritoneBlack Satin ESP sends a modern interpretation of the popular doublecut design into the race, which is ideally suited for the deep tunings of modern rock and metal. Based on the Set-Thru construction with a “Thin and Maple” neck glued deep into the body, the electric guitar offers an extra-long 27″ scale length (686 mm) that displays the lowest tunings with tight precision due to the increased string tension. While active EMG 81 and 60 humbuckers with beautiful Metalworks caps provide adequate rock and metal sounds, a bridge setup by TonePros and practical locking tuners complete the equipment of the LTD Viper-1000 BaritoneBlack Satin by ESP.

In designing the LTD Viper-1000 Baritone, ESP pays special attention to the punchy and precise output of the lowest tunings. The extra-long 27″ scale length (686 mm)promises a particularly tight and fast-responding sound due to the tight string tension, while the mahogany body with maple top and the “set-thru” maple neckthat extends far into the body provide the necessary pressure. The pleasantly flat “Thin and neck profile also promises smooth playing characteristics from the highest to the lowest position of the Macassar ebony fingerboard.
EMG pickups for flexible metal sounds
In order to elicit flexible metal sounds of a modern hue from the guitar amplifier, ESP equips the LTD Viper-1000 Baritone with active EMG pickups, whose brushed Metalworks caps emphasize the guitar’s gritty, elegant look. In bridge position, the classic EMG 81 ceramic humbuckerpromises tight distortion sounds that cut through the Mix with crisp Attack and sharply focused midrange spectrum, even at abysmal tunings. The EMG 60TW-R humbucker in neck position turns out to be sonically flexible, delivering not only the brilliant yet warm sound of the EMG classic, but also glassy single-coil tones thanks to coil split. The pickups are controlled classically via a 3-way switch and general volume and tone controls.

Of course, ESP completes the LTD Viper-1000 Baritone Black Satin with reliable hardware equipment that more than meets the demands of professional guitarists. From the lockable TonePros Lockingstopbar the strings of the electric guitar run over a TonePros Locking bridge , which not only guarantees an exact adjustment of intonation and string position even with thick string sets, but also supports the tight sound character through the bombproof mounting on the pins. On the headstock, LTD Locking tuners also promise precise tuning with high stability and fast string changes.
